My partner in crime, my colleague from the Imagine Cup 2006 competition and friend Jan-Kristian Markiewicz has posted an article about the Tablet PC input panel on Code-Magazine.com. The article focuses on how developers can use the ITextInputPanel API to customize and tailor the Input Panel user experience in a Tablet PC application. Jan-Kristian has also posted some sample code in the article.
I think the Input Panel is controlled by a COM object, but there is a managed (.NET) wrapper in the Tablet PC SDK. This makes it really easy for a managed snob like me to use the object model and take control over the input panel. I hope I get some time during the Easter vacation to look into the API.
